Our Story
LEGADO1645 was born in Fort Worth, Texas — shaped by a culture where Western heritage is not preserved behind glass. It is lived.
But our story reaches across borders and centuries to León, Guanajuato, one of Mexico’s great centers of shoemaking and leather craftsmanship.
Records of footwear manufacturing in León date to 1645. For generations, the city’s craftsmen have carried forward knowledge shaped by hand, material, and time. What began in small workshops grew into a tradition that has become inseparable from the identity of León.
1645 is our tribute to that legacy.
LEGADO brings that heritage to Fort Worth — where the spirit of the West gives it a new expression.
Our boots are handcrafted in León using time-honored construction and premium materials. Goodyear welt construction, leather insoles and outsoles, lemonwood pegs, carefully selected hides, and the handwork behind every pair reflect a belief that craftsmanship should be felt long before it needs to be explained.
We do not believe heritage means standing still.
For us, legacy is something inherited — and then carried forward with intention. Our designs respect the character of the traditional Western boot while refining its proportions, materials, and details for today.
The result is Western footwear made for those who value quiet confidence over loud branding, authenticity over imitation, and craftsmanship that reveals itself with time.
León shaped the craft. Fort Worth shaped the character.
LEGADO1645 carries both forward.
Handcrafted in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Designed in Fort Worth, Texas.
